Mike Banks is obviously known for his football talents, but he was an outstanding high school all-purpose athlete at Ogden. Mike selected ISU for college, where he was a 3-year starter, finishing his career with 59 receptions for 584 yards (9.9-yard average) in 43 games. While at ISU, he was a two-time All-Big 12 Conference honorable mention selection. In 2002 Mike was drafted by Arizona, where he played until 2004. He then spent the 2005 season with the New Orleans Saints before retiring from the NFL. Today Mike is a successful businessman in the insurance industry in Des Moines.
