Denise is a Manufacturing Engineering Leader at Collins Aerospace, a company she has worked for since 2013. Denise graduated from Utah State University in 2010 with a BS in Electrical Engineering and furthered her education at University of Iowa graduating in 2024 with a MBA with a leadership certificate. “Steve and Jodie Ries are my aunt and uncle, and I remember vividly the journey they went through when I was growing up and witnessing how cancer impacted Ben, Rachel, and our family. After my daughter Alex’s best friend Lorelai passed away from cancer in 2023, I have been determined to help provide support as I can. I am very blessed to work with the committee going forward.” Denise and her husband Jesse live in Atkins, IA with their daughters Alex, Izzy and Lilly. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and with her family.
