Helps Found New Family Cancer Resource Center

The Aiming for a Cure Foundation recently provided a check in the amount of $170,000 to the Mercy Medical Center’s Hall-Perrine Cancer Center to provide funding to found Mercy’s new Family Cancer Resource Center. “This gift serves as foundational money to help get the resource center up and running, allowing us to provide support, guidance and resources to families and individuals impacted by a cancer diagnosis in someone dear to them,” shares Program Coordinator Sandra Ahrendsen.

The Family Cancer Resource Center will connect individuals with services inside the Hall-Perrine Cancer Center, as well as other services offered throughout the community, by providing: education and support in schools and area businesses; referrals to community support groups; access to home services such as cleaning and lawn care; and other programs to address the needs of individuals and loved ones who are affected by cancer.
