Alex Van Pelt

Alex Van Pelt

Van Pelt was a star college quarterback and a 4 year starter at the University of Pittsburgh. While at Pittsburgh, Van Pelt set a number of school passing records formerly held by NFL hall of famer Dan Marino. After being drafted by his hometown Pittsburgh Steelers, Van Pelt moved to the Kansas City Chiefs in 1994. After only six months with the team, he left to join the Buffalo Bills where he spent the remainder of his NFL playing career spanning from 1995-2003.

Since leaving the game as a player, Van Pelt has enjoyed a coaching career including successful stints with the Buffalo Bills, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and, his current team, the Green Bay Packers. He spent 2013 grooming NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, Eddie Lacy, as the Packers’ Running Backs Coach and was promoted in February 2014 to QB Coach for the Packers.
