Brandon Scherff is a native of Denison, Iowa. Brandon was a multi-sport star at Denison High School, playing football, baseball, basketball, and track. He earned All-State recognition in football twice and won State, and Drake Relays titles in the shot put in track. He chose to continue his football career for his home state, Hawkeyes. After redshirting his first year, Brandon started 3 games at left guard before taking over as the starting left tackle in his 3rd year. He spent the next 2 years entrenched as Iowa’s starting left tackle and won multiple accolades in his junior and senior years, including All-Big Ten and All-American awards, as well as winning the Outland Trophy as the country’s best interior lineman. Following his standout college career, he became the first lineman selected in the 2015 NFL draft by Washington. He started all 16 games in his rookie season in helping Washinton reach the playoffs. Brandon has been elected to the Pro Bowl for multiple years, including 2021, and is the first Washington player named 1st Team All-Pro since 1996. In 2022 Brandon signed a multi-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he helped them qualify for this year’s NFL Playoffs.
