Brandon Scherff, a native of Denison, Iowa, established himself as a dominant force on the Iowa Hawkeyes’ offensive line, earning All-Big Ten and All-American honors while capturing the prestigious Outland Trophy as the nation’s top interior lineman. Selected as the first offensive lineman in the 2015 NFL Draft by Washington, he quickly became a cornerstone of the franchise, helping lead the team to the playoffs and earning multiple Pro Bowl selections along with first-team All-Pro recognition. In 2022, he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he concluded his outstanding NFL career before retiring in 2025, and he was inducted into the Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame later that same year.
