Brandon Scherff, a native of Denison, Iowa, made his mark as a dominant force on the Iowa Hawkeyes’ offensive line, earning All-Big Ten and All-American honors and capturing the prestigious Outland Trophy as the nation’s top interior lineman. Selected as the first offensive lineman in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders, he immediately became a cornerstone of their offense, starting all 16 games as a rookie and helping lead the team to the playoffs. Over his standout career, Scherff earned multiple Pro Bowl selections and first-team All-Pro recognition. In 2022, he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he finished his outstanding NFL career following his retirement in 2025.
