Brandon Scherff, a native of Denison, Iowa, was a standout on the Hawkeyes’ offensive line, earning multiple accolades including All-Big Ten and All-American honors. In his senior year, he won the prestigious Outland Trophy, awarded to the nation’s best interior lineman. Following his standout college career, Scherff was the first lineman selected in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders, where he started all 16 games in his rookie season, helping Washington reach the playoffs. Over the course of his career, he was elected to the Pro Bowl multiple times and earned first-team All-Pro honors. In 2022, Scherff signed a multi-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
