Ethan Hurkett, hailing from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is a standout defensive lineman for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes. In 2024, he earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors and received the Hayden Fry Award for his defensive prowess. Starting all 13 games at right end, Hurkett led the team with 11.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, and a Big ten Conference leading three forced fumbles. Throughout his college career, Hurkett has been a consistent performer both on the field and in the classroom, recognized as a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and an Academic All-Big Ten honoree. Known for his leadership, he was also one of eight seniors named to the 2024 Player Council.
