Kaden Wetjen, from Williamsburg, Iowa, began his college career at Iowa Western Community College before transferring to the University of Iowa, where he has become one of the nation’s most dynamic playmakers. In 2024, he earned first-team All-American honors, was named the Big Ten Rodgers-Dwight Return Specialist of the Year, won the Jet Award, and was a semifinalist for the Burlsworth Trophy. He built on that success in 2025, becoming a consensus All-American, the first-ever two-time Rodgers-Dwight Return Specialist of the Year, and the first repeat winner of the Jet Award, given to the nation’s top return specialist in college football. Wetjen made history as the only player in program history to score a rushing, receiving, kickoff return, and punt return touchdown in the same season, while also setting Big Ten and school records with his electrifying returns.
