Former Iowa Hawkeye Leadership Development Business Executive

Lon Olejniczak was a four-year letterman and standout for the University of Iowa football team. Lon is a native of Decorah, where he was a three-sport standout and received All-American honors in baseball. At Iowa, he played both baseball and football. He was a three-year starter for the baseball team and played multiple positions in football. As a receiver, he caught 23 passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns. He was also a punt return specialist with the Hawkeyes. During his Iowa career, he played defensive back, tight end, and wing-back. Lon has had a highly successful post-football career as well, serving in a number of senior executive positions in the insurance and financial services industry, including Sr. VP Transamerica & Global Head of Development for Aegon in Cedar Rapids, IA. In 2014 Lon was inducted into the IHSAA baseball hall of fame. Aiming For A Cure would also like to recognize Lon for his efforts in helping us to recruit additional celebrities every year.
