Marshal Yanda attended Anamosa High School, where he excelled as a multi-sport athlete. After two years at NIACC, he continued his career with the Iowa Hawkeyes, where he was named a third-team All-American and earned second-team All-Big Ten honors from the league’s coaches. Selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft, Yanda became one of the league’s top offensive linemen, earning eight Pro Bowl selections, two first-team All-Pro honors, and a Super Bowl championship. After retiring in 2020 following 13 seasons with the Ravens, Yanda was named to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team and was inducted into the Baltimore Ravens Ring of Honor in 2022. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest offensive guards of his era.
